Expozitie Kos Karoly

Expoziţia doreşte să atragă atenţia, prin imagini, asupra similitudinilor inerente ale culturilor care-şi caută identitatea naţională prezentând efectele arhitecturii lui Kós Károly asupra arhitecturii contemporane. Dorim să arătăm efectele pe care aceleaşi idei le au în arhitectura de sfârşit de secol asupra unor diferiţi arhitecţi care trăiesc la mari distanţe unii de ceilalţi şi care posedă un bagaj cultural şi istoric diferit.

The exhibition intends primarily to draw the attention by visual experience, to the inherent similarites of cultures searching their national identity and to survey the effects on the turn-of-the-century ideas and especially the architecture of Károly Kós on contemporary architecture.
The aim of our exhibition is to show the effects of the very same ideas on architecture around the turn of the century, resulting astonishing similarities among people living at a great distance from each other and possessing of different historic and cultural traditions.

Elsősorban a vizuális élmény révén kívánja felhívni a figyelmet a nemzeti önazonosságot kereső kultúrák közötti természetes közösségre.
A szebeni várostornyokban látható a kiállítás másik része, amely a mai építészetben térképezi fel a századforduló szellemiségének, elsősorban Kós Károly építészetének hatását, és amely hasonlóképpen igazolja, hogy – legalábbis Közép-Európában – a nemzeti kultúra üzeneteit szem elől nem tévesztő alkotók körében is lehetséges, sőt természetes a közös szemléletmódból fakadó rokonság.
